RingCentral Update Business Hours and Holidays

This guide provides a step-by-step approach to updating business hours and holiday settings in RingCentral. Follow these instructions to customize call handling rules and set specific dates for closures and holidays.

Log into RingCentral

  • Navigate to https://service.ringcentral.com

  • Click into the Email or Phone Number field and enter the Thrive Pet Healthcare email address and then Next.

  • Click into the Password field and enter your Ring Central password then click Sign In.

  1. Select the Phone System tab.

  2. Select General Settings.

  3. Select the name of the hospital.

  4. Select Schedule.

  5. Review the current schedule and make any necessary updates.

  6. Scroll down and select Call Handling.

  7. Select Custom Rules.

  8. Click Add Custom Rule.

  9. Click Add Rule.

  10. Check the box for Called Number.

  11. Click Select Number.

  12. Select the numbers associated with the hospital.

  13. Click Done.

  14. Check the box for Date and/or Time.

  15. Click Specific Date Range.

  16. Click on the From calendar icon.

  17. Select the starting and ending dates.

  1. Click Next.

  2. Select what should happen when incoming calls match the rule.

  • In this example, the calls will be routed to the Holidays IVR

  1. Click Done.

  2. Click Next.

  3. Name the rule created.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Review the information on the calling rule and ensure it is active. (If the active toggle is off, the rule will not function.).

  6. Click × to exit the screen.

  7. Verify that the custom rule is active.
